PORSCHE BOXSTER OWNERS CLUB
39k miles already .... That's great that you get out and drive her that much! I have a 2000 that has 65K on it. But I do have kids so it's tough to make a daily driver.
Richard Lucashave it for fun, got 4 teenagers in the house 😎, so is not my daily driver, did some porsche trainings, also on track, like it, but love climbing the mountains more 😀🥇
I hear you! Most of my miles are at events now but occasionally golfing. What part of the world are you from?
Chasing Suns HanYESSAH! I may have a few boxster photos on hand, I love a good Porsche tribe!
I love mine. Even when it’s backside was assaulted in a car park a fee weekends ago 😭
Good morning desert dude. Mine spent some time in downtown Chicago and I just about cried every time I came out to a parallel parking bumper rub.
My only regret is not going with the S. Something I might have to remedy in the future. Is that the only way to go?
To be honest Ben, I’ve never driven a non-S so I don’t have much to compare to.
Wow that looks like some incredible scenery for driving. Is it too hot for top down during the day there?
We just go rid of the last of the snow here. Mine has that look on her face of building excitement every time I pass by in the garage. Very soon though. What year is your boxster Desert Dude?
Ben KVery nice! A lot of upgrades have been made since my 2000 vintage was made. One being an enormous horsepower boost. Now you have me thinking I should stop by and take a new one for a spin.
Lance NutterHi, I just bought a 2002 S with 71,000 miles. Drove it 300 miles home last night. Check engine light came on, has really loud road noise over 60 and has a weird tuning button that has 3 settings, off, red or green. Would like any advice or info on what that is, and why the loud noise I the cab. I’m suspecting a motor mount? Envied and trans are fine. The noise continues when I’m out of gear and idled down. Sounds like tires roaring kind of, but does not change with road surface. I drove with tuning button off. I also have a scanner I’ll put diagnose it with, today so have that covered. Was super fun to drive but too loud... any ideas?
Lance NutterOk, scanned, o2 sensors were low, so I reset it. The green button thing was a Sprint Booster, so I removed it, and put it on Craigslist. Still
Lance NutterStill need to look at the motor mount to see if I have a bad one, conducting the road noise into the car
Warren DyasHi I'm new to drive tribe and I need to have the roof to my boxster serviced. I live in the Romford area can anyone recommend a good servicer not to far from me?
