Doodle of the day: with every sketch there comes a ‘tipping point’ - when is there enough colour intensity? There is always the danger of overworking. It can be a very fine line - or in this case a very smudgy one - this was just before I got carried away. Sometimes you have to step back, go for a walk, do something different, sometimes it’s the support and intervention of another that enables the fine line to be adhered to. I have lost count of times when Mrs Revs has literally removed the sketch pad with the words ‘time to have a break’. How often we need such people. The good book is full of people who had gone over the edge - who seemingly ruined something good. But the God they found was one of restoration. Often he did it through the intervention of a loved one - and that’s what the story of Jesus is all about. Prayers today of thanks for all those who pull us back from the brink of things, who intervene on our behalf no matter what the mess. Prayers too for all who feel they have ruined everything - I believe there is hope. #blessings #scribblingvicar #alfaromeo m
