@tribe Here's my new vlog, guys! I had my ancient Saab tuned. And to maximize risk of failure I did all preparations myself...

Speaking of getting rid of a car... I wouldn’t dare sell one anymore. I’ve even gotten them a bigger garage...

Never before a car, or more specifically a Saab let me down. This all changed a little while back when I wanted to sell my classic 900. The night before someone was about to come and take a look at it I drove it from the storage to my home. After about twenty minutes I stopped at a gas station for a quick refill. The engine knocked out after I let up the clutch no matter if I was in gear or not. This resulted in the car being towed away to my garage. All this happened on a Friday night. Next Sunday I tried starting the 9-3. Yeah you read it well... tried. Nothing but the starter turning over. Within ten minutes I figured out the fuel pump gave out. This meant two of my daily drivers got towed away in one weekend. You think the bad luck streak would end here... But since I (thought I) needed a new gearbox for the 900 classic I asked my dad If I could borrow his 9-3 hatchback. The night before leaving his window got smashed by a few drunkards. Finally being able to pick up the new gearbox a few days later we found out the current gearbox in the 900 wasn’t at fault. Instead the primary chains snapped. Luckily the classic is back on the road! My 9-3 needed a new fuel pump and since it really destroyed itself the tank and fuel lines needed some cleaning. Finally being back on the road I noticed the car had a little more power but felt a little ‘short of breath’. The car had been using up a little much oil for some time now but this proved the turbo needed replacement as well. After having bought a brand new turbo and setting a date for installing it the clutch started slipping... At the moment the 9-3 drives like new, except for the clutch, but both cars put quite the hole in my budget at the moment. The other 9-3 convertible decided to empty the airconditioning system upon start last weekend... Gotta love old cars! The Clue of this story: never try to sell a good (classic) Saab, they either won’t forgive you or you’ll regret it for life!
