Happy Holidays @tribe27/11/2021
It’s been a long time since I’ve used this chat, and a lot has happened since. I hope all of you are staying safe and had and made the best of our current situation. If you celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you had a wonderful holiday.
With that said, I’m opening up a quick question that would help me personally, but also anyone in the market for a new car. So, here it is.
What wagon is the best for under $10,000? I prefer AWD, a bit of luxury, and reliability is my main concern. My truck is not the greatest in fuel economy (who am I kidding? It’s awful) and I really need a vehicle that can save me a few bucks at the pumps, has AWD for the snowy roads, and all around is decently reliable.
You guys would know best, and let’s see what you think!

From my knowledge the 05-07 xc70 are the year to have compared to the 01-04 27/11/2021

And then after that don’t know at much about but the 08s one to avoid as well (2008 model the first year of the p3 models)27/11/2021

good to know, I’ll check them out. I too have heard mixed things, that’s part of the reason I asked the question in the first place27/11/2021

Xc70, I agree. Reliable, not too much electronics and latest version have been improved, like the latest and third one. I had a V70, appart from a battery dead after 5 years, not a single issue27/11/2021

No matter what you do everyone will recommend the Volvo, generally even I however I would like to suppose the option of a Toyota. Both the 87’ Camry wagon and the 83’ Corolla wagon. The Camry gives you more luxury while the Corolla gives you more fun both have fantastic mpg at an average I can speak to personally of 24-30. The engines go for a lifetime. Best of luck on the search 27/11/2021

to find one though... that’s the thing27/11/2021

Overall, the Volvo is indeed an obvious choice. I’ve always been a fan of Audi’s wagons as well though, especially the allroad. It requires a lot of thinking, that’s for 27/11/2021

I’m not sure of the availability where you are, I have owned both of these cars and if you totaled up the cost for both combined it was 3,600 usd (Corolla= 1,400. Camry= 2,20027/11/2021

in other words it may not cost you too much to import given the general inexpensive cost of the vehicle 27/11/2021

I see, always an option. Thanks for your help, 27/11/2021

@tribe12/01/2022
I will admit, I did not see this coming. Who did?
Anyway, with the close of DT will come the close of the Wagon Community, a tribe that infested the love of wagons unto me. It may not have been the most active tribe, for which I apologize, but I still want to thank everyone who contributed to my different challenges, questions, and who saw to it to publish pretty pictures of their stellar wagons here. I haven’t run this tribe long, but long enough for it to have affected me in one way or another.
Thanks again, all!

Long live the wagon!
