I was walking through town yesterday and spotted this Clio all covered in words. On closer inspection, it has quite a story to tell, and might just be the worst Clio ever. I found out through Twitter that the car is owned by a local 19-year-old,...Read more

Glad to see an E39 tribe! Here's my '99 528i. It's definitely not as pristine as it looks in the light of the setting sun...

Just getting acquainted with this DRIVETRIBE thing, so I thought I'd introduce my fleet of bangers. First is my '99 528i, purchased last year. It was my first attempt at bangernomics, and not the most successful – needed more work than I'd...Read more

And here is banger number two. My wife decided that she did not particularly like my E39, mostly due to its size. She wanted a hatchback, and I only stipulated that it had to be fun to drive. Enter this 2002 Leon Cupra. Full service history, new...Read more

    • These cars are very underrated and are great value. It is a cut price VW Golf and actually better than the contemporary model.

My wife doesn't like my car (a 5-series), and said she wanted something smaller. I said it had to at least be fun to drive, so we found this 2002 Cupra (non-R). All stock, with 74,000 miles. It really is a hoot on the backroads.
