We have been involved in some amazing projects this year, one of which has been capturing some behind the scenes and supporting content for Richard Hammond’s new TV show.
DriveTribe were a natural fit to bring in to support his new venture and they gave us the amazing opportunity to support them and the show.
It has certainly had some logistical challenges having a live workshop, which is then being filmed, and then the filming of the workshop also being filmed.
However all of the teams worked extremely well with one another and we all managed to come away with some incredible content. If you haven’t seen the TV show itself yet, head over to Discovery Plus UK where all of series 1 is now available!
The show has been so insightful on many levels. It opens the door to a huge TV personality and shares a lot of what we would have only once wondered. Richard has been very open and humble about his transition in to a more, what we would deem, normal working life. And it was a surprise to many how excited, and how much it has meant to him. Getting to spend more time with the family, and in his words, just getting to go home.
We helped film a number of supporting items which can be all found on the DriveTribe YouTube channel. A few of our favourites are below:
WELCOME TO RICHARD HAMMOND’S BRAND NEW COMPOUND!
After selling off a bunch of his cars to raise some funds, Richard Hammond then set about building a new home for his classic car restoration business.
DriveTribe was invited along to the open day of his new compound, and Mike turned up in the new DT filming car to see what was what.
RICHARD HAMMOND DRIVES HIS FINISHED PROJECT CAR FOR THE FIRST TIME!
We’ve seen Richard Hammond’s Jaguar XK150 restoration from the beginning here on DriveTribe, and now it is fully finished and ready to hit the road.
Watch as Richard revs out that stunning XK engine and shows off its lovely leather straps.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF RICHARD HAMMOND
Have you ever wondered what a full day in Richard Hammond’s life looks like?
Well, we followed him around for a day of filming for discovery+, as well as tending to some family chores and vehicle juggling.
